Matthew Piersanti

Matthew Piersanti was selected as Lead Pastor for Ellicott City Church in November of 2023.  Matthew earned his undergraduate degree in theology from Southern Adventist University in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and a Master of Divinity (MDiv) from Andrews Theological Seminary in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Currently, Matthew is pursuing his Doctor of Ministry (DMin) in Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California.  Matthew is happily married to Amy and they have three boys; Evan, Aiden, and Lucas.  In his free time, Matthew enjoys sports, reading, eating new foods, and spending time with his family.

Debbie Rivera

After graduating from Pacific Union College with degrees in both Mathematics and Spanish, Debbie actively pursued her passion for teaching and working with children. This resulted in over 26 years of experience teaching grades K-12 in both English and Spanish in various states across the U.S. Additionally, Debbie has served as a Children’s Ministry Leader for more than 20 years, leading out in family seminars, trainings in child leadership and education, children’s classes, clubs, and annual beloved community children’s programs such as Vacation Bible Schools (VBS). Currently, she is pursuing a master’s degree in pastoral ministry and religious education.
