Recently, Ellicott City Church hosted an interactive and practical interview with Dr. E. Albert Reece, Dr. Teresa Wilson and Dr. Paulo Macena on the impact COVID-19 pandemic is having on our physical, emotional and spiritual lives.
Dr. E. Albert Reece is Executive Vice President for Medical Affairs at the University of Maryland, the John Z. and Akiko Bowers Distinguished Professor, and Dean of the School of Medicine. He is a member of the prestigious National Academy of Medicine (NAM). He is also an Honorary Associate Director of the Health Ministries Department for the General Conference of SDA. Dr. Reece received his medical education from New York University, Columbia University and Yale University. He has held faculty and leadership appointments at Yale University, Temple University, the University of Arkansas, and the University of Maryland. Dr. Reece oversees an active NIH-funded research laboratory that studies the bio-molecular causes and consequences of diabetes-induced birth defects. He has over 500 scientific publications. Dr. Reece espouses and promotes a collegial leadership style and an ambitious vision for the future of Medicine.
Dr. Teresa Wilson, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Maryland. She has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings, both pre- and post-licensure, with her primary specialty being psychological assessment.
Dr. Paulo Macena, is the lead Pastor of the Ellicott City church and the author of the book “The Missing Power.”
